SWIFT City in Bangalore: All you need to know
Here is another good news for Bengaluru residents and real estate investors with manifold appreciations in the coming days! According to the recent announcement of Karnataka Minister MB Patil, the upcoming SWIFT City will enhance the Ecosystem of Start-up in Bangalore. This will also claim a major industrial hub in the IT City. MB Patil is Karnataka Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries excluding Sugar of Karnataka
The Karnataka Government revealed the plan to develop a SWIFT City that stands for;
S – Start-Ups
W – Workspaces
I – Innovation
F – Finance
T – Technology
SWIFT City is about to be planned near Sarjapur, the second most preferred locality for real estate investments in the last 10 years. This plan will be similar to the recently announced KWIN City. As per Karnataka Minister MB Patil, SWIFT City will enhance the start-up ecosystem in Bengaluru and will be one of the major industrial hubs in Silicon Valley.
He further added, “SWIFT City will be another industrial hub in Karnataka, similar to ITPL & EPIP Zone in Bangalore East and Electronic City in Bangalore South. This will be built on more than 1000 acres of land near Sarjapur/Sarjapura and become a new start-up hotspot of Bengaluru City.
About SWIFT City and what it offers
- SWIFT City will sprawl over 1000 acres, close to IT Hubs like Sarjapur Main Road, Kadubeesanahalli, Bellandur Outer Ring Road, and Panathur. Also, with excellent connectivity to NH44 and NH48
- Approx 8 to 10 Plug-n-Play Facilities (into 20-25 acres each)
- Land Parcels from 5000sft to 20000sft for start-ups through leasehold, outrate, sale, or equity-sharing models.
- 150 meters wide connecting internal roads, co-working spaces, residential segments, Educational Institutions as well as State-of-the-art Offices.
Govt. of Karnataka is also in the planning stage for the expansion of 5 more mini KWIN Cities, those areas are marked as;
- Vijayapura – Close to Old Madras Road and Hoskote on NH75
- Hubballi-Dharwad – North Karnataka.

According to Govt. of Karnataka, KWIN is a parallel city to Bengaluru for similar growth and opportunities in all the sectors within an accessible distance of the Capital of Karnataka. After all these scenarios, the State Govt rounded off the area between Doddaballapur and Doddaspete, which are hardly within the 60km distance from IT City Bengaluru. This project is supposed to be built on 2000 acres of land which is connected to Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR Bangalore).
Overall KWIN City will similarly contribute to India’s GDP in all perspectives.
